Q. Is this a coverage service?

A. No! There is no score, or CONSIDER/PASS. This is 1-on-1 coaching and workshopping your material.

Q. How long is the coaching session?

A. At least seventy-five minutes, depending on what is requested and how much work is involved. For example, workshopping a 25-page treatment will take less time than a page-one notes session.

Q. Does MCH coach advanced screenwriters or just novices?

A. Each session is tailor-made for the client. It doesn't matter if this is your first script or your seventy-first. MCH will walk you through his notes and then workshop it with you.

Q. How many sessions does it take to make a screenplay perfect?

A. Bad news. The screenplay will never be perfect; there is no such thing. That said, MCH's goal is to get your screenplay to a place where you can confidently pitch it to producers, managers, agents, and studios without hesitation. If it takes one session, great! You'll both know when you get into it. Common practice: one session per act; it's entirely up to you!

Q. Do I need to take notes?

A. If you want, however, it isn't necessary. MCH will record the coaching session, upload it to his private Vimeo, and send you the link via email. You can download the video and rewatch it as many times as needed.

Q. Wait. You said it's like having MCH as your 'writing partner.' Doesn't that mean he gets credit for his ideas and the work he does?

A. Nope. Anything MCH discusses with you during your session is yours to do with what you'd like.

Q. What if I want to brainstorm ideas and I don't have a screenplay, outline, or treatment?

A. No problem! This is your time. You want a sounding board to bandy ideas back and forth? MCH would love to!

Q. Why MCH?

A. Simply put:

  • Hollywood studios have produced his work.

  • He's sold, pitched, been hired to write, and penned dozens of screenplays.

  • He's written & directed two award-winning multi-million dollar feature films.

  • He's been doing this for 25 years and has made a bunch of mistakes so you won't have to.
